Frequently Asked Questions
Right click on your chart and select the ‘Properties’ option to configure your Advanced Chart in a number of ways.
Right click on the Buy/Sell Panel and select the option to hide it. Alternatively, you can move the panel by clicking on the grey bar and dragging it to a location on the chart of your choice.
Either right click on your chart and click on ‘Trading’ or use the Buy/Sell Panel to open new market, limit, or stop orders from your chart. If you cannot find the Buy/Sell Panel, re-enable it to appear within ‘Trading Properties’.
You can use a Watchlist within an Advanced Chart to monitor the rates and quickly switch between multiple instruments.
Symbols can be added by searching for them in the 'Add Symbols' text field and then clicking on the desired instrument. They can be removed by hovering over an instrument in the watchlist and clicking on the red 'X'.
To hide/show the watchlist, there is a small arrow to the left of the Watchlist (which will be the right edge of the Chart when the watchlist is hidden).
Beside the Intervals dropdown there are 3 vertical dots you can click on to change the interval of your chart. Simply type in any multiple of your base intervals to view a custom interval. For example: 10s = 10 seconds, 7 = 7 minutes, 4d = 4 days, 3w = 3 weeks, 2m = 2 months.
No. All of the Chart Types within your Advanced Charts use midpoint.
Click on the grey box in the top right corner of the chart to configure various displays. With this dropdown you can load as many of 8 charts in the same window and then configure them however you would like.
Magnet Mode (default = off) can be used to make it easier to draw a trendline that ends exactly at the price of a chart. When drawing near a candle/price line the trendline will be dragged slightly away from the cursor and snap onto the specific candle/line.
Stay in Drawing Mode (default = off) is used to make it easier to draw. Rather than deselect a drawing tool once one is done drawing, when this is selected the option will remain present and clients can draw another one without needing to click the button again (e.g., while on I can draw multiple trendlines without having to select the trendline type each time)
Lock All Drawing Tools (default = off) can be used to ensure you don't accidentally move a trendline or drawing tool when trying to maneuver the chart (say, search back in history or change the scale)
Hide All Drawing Tools (default = off) can be used to temporarily hide all drawing tools when desired. This allows clients to toggle them off to get a better look at a price move without having to delete and re-add them all again.
Sync drawings to all charts (default = on) is used to ensure trendlines and other drawing tools added to say a 5 minute chart will still be present on a 15 minute chart (or any other time period). When this is off trendlines and other drawing tools added to an instrument's chart for a specific time period will not be copied over when you switch to a different time period.
