Currency Pair Units Calculator

    (Its current exchange rate appears in the field below.)
  3. Select your margin ratio from the list. Find out about margin and margin calls.
  4. Type your current margin.
    (This is the Margin Available value in the Account Summary when you log in to the fxTrade or fxTrade Practice platform.)
  5. Use the Calculate button. The maximum number of units you can trade for the currency pair you chose is shown below this button.
  6. You can compare other values. Just change any value to see the updated results.

This calculation uses the following formula:

Margin Available * (margin ratio) / ({BASE}/{HOME Currency} Exchange Rate)

For example, suppose:

Home Currency: USD
Currency Pair: GBP/CHF
Margin Available: 100
Margin Ratio : 20:1
Base / Home Currency: GBP/USD = 1.584


Units = (100 * 20) / 1.584
Units = 1262
