You will need a Live or Demo trading account to access the OANDA Desktop trading platform. Launch the desktop platform from the downloadable shortcut to sign in, or open a trading account and then download the desktop platform to start trading.
You can download OANDA’s Live Desktop trading platform and Practice desktop platform launcher shortcuts for quick access to the OANDA Desktop trading platform on a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.
The OANDA Desktop platform is no longer available to be launched within web browsers. You can either download the Desktop platform (see above) or use the OANDA Web platform.
Your username will be saved and auto populated the next time you sign in to OANDA’s Desktop trading platform. However, you will still need to enter your password each time you want to access the OANDA trading platform.
To adjust the list of currency pairs or CFD instruments that appear in your Rates Panel, go to the “Rates” tab in your “User Preferences” and add or remove the applicable instruments, including currency pairs, precious metals, commodities, stock indices, and bond CFDs, you would like to trade.
To customize OANDA’s Desktop trading platform, click on the ‘Tools’ dropdown at the top of the platform and select ‘User Preferences’. From there you can customize the platform. For more details, visit the OANDA Help Portal.
