I already have an OANDA trading account do I need to open a separate account to trade on the OANDA mobile app?

No. The sign in credentials you use to access your OANDA trading account on the web or the Desktop trading platform are the same credentials you use to sign in to OANDA’s mobile trading platform.

What happens if I lose my Internet connection while I am placing a forex or CFD trade?

OANDA’s mobile trading platform automatically checks to see if your mobile device is connected to a mobile network or Internet connection via Wi-Fi. If your device is not connected, OANDA’s mobile trading app will alert you immediately.

After placing a forex or CFD trade, you will see a confirmation that your order has been placed. If you lose connectivity while placing a trade and you do not receive a confirmation, tap the “Trades” icon in OANDA’s mobile trading app to verify that your trade has been executed.

Note:Internet connections on mobile devices may be interrupted due to circumstances beyond OANDA’s control, such as outages on your telecommunications provider’s mobile network, or poor connectivity in geographic regions where mobile coverage is limited.

How can I add a chart in OANDA’s mobile trading app for iPad?

Add a chart in OANDA’s mobile trading app for iPad by tapping on a currency pair, precious metal, commodities, stock indices, or bond CFD rate in the rate panel and dragging it down into the trading chart space.

How do I remove an indicator or overlay from OANDA’s mobile trading app chart?

Indicators and overlays can be removed by using the “Trashcan” icon in the indicator or overlay settings panel. If you don’t see the Trashcan icon, scroll vertically in the settings panel to reveal it.

What order types can I place directly from the chart on the OANDA mobile app?

Tapping on Bid/Ask prices located at top left corner of the chart will take you to a full screen view where you can easily place market and entry orders. After entering number of units, simply tap "Submit" to open a market order or drag the overlay to desired price level to instead open an entry order. Take profit, stop loss and trailing stop orders can be added and adjusted by tapping on the appropriate bottom tool bar menu and placing it on the chart.

Why am I not receiving OANDA Alerts or other push notifications from the OANDA Mobile App?

"Trade Defaults" for your app can be configured by going to "More" > "Settings" > "Trade Defaults".
