Managing indicators in MT4
This guide explains how to add and remove indicators on charts in MT4.
There are several ways to display indicators on a chart.
This article introduces two common methods: adding from the menu bar and the Navigator panel.
Adding indicators from the menu bar
To add an indicator to a chart, click “Insert” in the menu bar, then select “Indicators” and choose the one you wish to display.
A settings window will appear.
Adjust the parameters as needed, then click “OK” to apply and display the indicator on the chart.
Adding indicators from the Navigator panel
Indicators can also be added via the Navigator panel.
From the list of indicators shown in the Navigator, select the one you want, then either double-click it or drag and drop it onto the chart.
A settings window will appear.
Adjust the parameters as needed, then click “OK” to apply and display the indicator.
Removing unwanted indicators
To remove an indicator, right-click on the chart and select “Indicators List”.
Select the indicator you wish to remove in the newly opened window, then click the “Delete” button.
