A joint account is owned by two account holders, and can be used by either one of them. Any OANDA personal account can be converted into a joint account once the individual account holder initiates and authorizes this process.

Counter-parties of OANDA that are residents of Quebec are entitled to certain information under Quebec Derivatives Regulation including the percentage of client accounts that were profitable in the previous fiscal year. This letter must be completed to request and obtain that information (Quebec residents only).

OANDA’s hours of operation coincide with the global financial markets. Trading is available from Sunday approximately 5pm to Friday 5pm, New York time.

The amount of margin required to enter a trade is determined by the rules discussed within this section.

Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) establishes margin rates. Margin requirements vary given the base currency of your account.
