Quant Trader, Singapore

You will join the OANDA global Trading team and work alongside a high performing group of research and development professionals.  

The successful candidate will have two main roles.  

First, the candidate will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the pricing, hedging, and client execution systems that are part of OANDA’s award-winning FX and CFD trading platform.  

Second, the candidate will be responsible for the analysis of trading P/L, and client and hedging flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Covering the Trading desk during Asia business hours.
  • Managing the market making and hedging engine of OANDA’s global FX and CFD platform.
  • Collecting market intelligence and analyzing customer activity.
  • Supervising the hedging process of the market maker positions and manage risk
  • Assisting to maintain relationships with key liquidity providers
  • Seeking ways to contribute and improve the overall profitability of Asia Desk
  Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor in a quant field such as Maths, Statistics, Computer Science
  • Good programming skills in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib) with a good understanding of data structures is a must.
  • Working experience with PostgreSQL and MySQl will be considered a plus
  • Understanding of metals, futures, equity indices, equity CFDs preferred
  • Knowledge of FX prime brokerage relationships, and collateral
  • You must enjoy being part of a small team at the cutting edge of innovation
  • Experience with OANDA trading platform a definite asset
  • Team player who is resourceful and possess good communications and analytical skills
  • Proactive, responsible and able to work under pressure
