AGILE PROJECT MANAGER

Position Summary

OANDA is looking for a Project Manager who is able to lead and contribute to a collaborative, passionate and cross-functional project team by applying broad-base technical, client-facing and industry expertise. The ideal candidate will help create practical, innovative solutions that disrupt the forex industry while applying an Agilist view to ensure high performing teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • As a Project Manager you will be key to delivering solutions  to our customers and contributing to success of OANDA.
  • Work with Product Managers on product briefs, ensuring they are ready to present to implementation teams.
  • Work with Product Managers to draw together cross functional project teams
  • Guide project discussions, drawing in area experts to remove roadblocks.
  • Driving project planning, ensuring all the questions are answered!
  • Work with the various implementation teams to fully understand the project, and identify the divisible milestones
  • Work with development teams, helping them to refine their process to promote visibility and accuracy
  • Drive project status meetings, tracking teams deliverables and raising exceptions when needed
  • Interact with the Executive team and other stakeholders for project updates, tracking and reporting, profitability and escalations when needed
  • Work with the Product Manager on developing our go-to-market plans , and rolling them out.

Qualifications :

  • Strong knowledge of agile/scrum/kanban development processes  with a track record to prove it
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Ability to negotiate compromises between time to market, and responsible production in a  fast-paced software development environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter that inspires collaboration and transparency across project teams
  • Proficiency with JIRA for tracking user stories, sprints, and burn down charts
  • Proven commitment to organizational best practices, including thorough requirements gathering, project process defining and implementation, and transparency.
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking ability, analytical skills, problem solving skills and a consistent record of ‘successful’ delivery
  • To meet our highest standard of execution you must be proficient at: scheduling, facilitation, communications to the Management team, risk management and delivering quality products.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or other project delivery methodology is an asset
