The Manager, Global Payroll Process and Compliance is a highly collaborative role that will focus on driving consistency of global payroll processes and improving operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with all applicable internal and legislative requirements. This individual contributor role will work with the Global Payroll Manager and teams to identify gaps and issues that prohibit efficient, effective, and compliant business processes, driving solutions and providing remedies for process deficiencies. This role reports to the Head of People Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in developing comprehensive internal controls around our payroll process, a payroll auditing plan, key controls testing and reporting designed to drive overall compliance, process improvement initiatives and business value. Work with the Global Payroll Manager to implement recommended improvements and monitor ongoing adherence.
  • Assume responsibility for all areas of payroll compliance and elevate appropriate issues to leaders as appropriate.
  • Work with internal and external audit teams on quarterly and annual payroll audits. Handle audit plans across countries and payrolls, acting as a central contact to handle these activities. Coordinate the collection and submission of audit requests. Collaborate with auditors to review compliance results and to facilitate the auditor's own assessment of internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Drive and support projects such as Workday payroll integration, planning and implementing new country payroll platforms, and any payroll system migrations in collaboration with the Global Payroll Manager
  • Find opportunities to improve payroll systems and the design of payroll processes.
  • Advise teams on internal control considerations during system implementations and rollout of new processes.
  • Ensure that all payroll-related documentation is accurate and up-to-date

Requirements

  • 7+ of experience in global payroll management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams and cultures around the world.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements in multiple countries - Poland included. 
  • Knowledge of HR processes and experience with related HRIS software (Workday).
  • Experience with managing a centralized payroll vendor such as Activ Pay, ADP, Cloud Pay and working with multiple local payroll vendors, and payroll implementation projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of G-Suite, advanced Excel, analysis and data manipulation skills.
  • Attention to detail and outstanding ethics with respect to confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Resilient and solution-driven.
  • Demonstrated success in leading the creation of business process improvements by building relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders.
