IT Procurement Specialist, Gurgaon

We are looking for IT Purchasing analyst to buy products and manage renewals (Hardware/Software) that are essential for our company’s day-to-day operations. You will work with various teams in technology to understand the purchasing needs, support them on contract renewals and manage the quote & purchase order process. Also work with finance to track budget spend and ensure vendor PO are being paid in a timely manner. You will also play a key role in the IT asset management process.

Ultimately, you’ll create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating vendors, managing renewals, finding best pricing, preparing reports, etc.

  • Research potential vendors

  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers

  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing

  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery

  • Review quality of purchased products

  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal systems

  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices

  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses

  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed

  • deal with shipping logistics where needed

Skills

  • Good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you’re identifying the most profitable offers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate with external vendors in a polished and professional manner Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (specifically Excel)

  • Superior attention to detail

  • Strong negotiator

  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multitasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage a large volume of work in a fast paced environment

  • Prior experience managing and inputting large volumes of data with a high level of accuracy

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross functional teams

  • Able to work in a fast paced, changing, entrepreneurial environment and meet time sensitive deadlines

  • Proactive, resourceful and comfortable working independently

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related discipline preferred

  • Minimum 2 years related work experience

  • Must have experience in vendor contract negotiation and management for IT products and services

  • Previous experience strongly desired in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis

  • Proficient in MS Excel to analyze and transform data into a consumable format

  • Experience with defining, implementing and reporting on vendor Metrics & KPI’s

  • Practical experience with workflow and process design

  • Self-starter, with strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills leading to sound judgments/decisions and innovative process improvement recommendations
