6 month contract - CASS Manager, London

CASS Manager

This is an opportunity for a hands-on CASS specialist with CASS 7, 8 & 10 experience to own the day to day CASS operational tasks and support the firm’s compliance with FCA regulations. You will also be solely responsible for completing daily client money reconciliations, drafting monthly CASS MI and updating policies & procedures. You will also be involved in the ongoing Autorek implementation project.

Kay Tasks
  • Complete the CASS daily client money reconciliations 
  • Assist with oversight and due diligence of TPA to ensure adequate system and controls are in place to support CASS Compliance 
  • Accountable for identifying and flagging client money reconciliation and TPA oversight risks as they arise 
  • Maintaining an up to date log of CASS breaches/incidents and completing initial materiality assessments on all CASS breaches to identify those reportable to the FCA 
  • Review CASS policies and procedures regularly (including periodic review of CASS Resolution packs), in accordance with set timeliness, to ensure completeness and accuracy 
  • Assist the CASS SMF Manager with preparing monthly CASS MI for the Risk Committee and Board meetings 
  • Prepare monthly CMAR return   
  • Support Autorek Implementation project 
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties/responsibilities and special projects as required to support Finance Department
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the requirements of CASS through attendance at industry forums and training events
Experience and Skills
  • 5+ years experience within a similar role in Financial Services, preferably trading/brokerage firm
  • Demonstrative good understanding of CASS rulebook as applies to trading firms 
  • A quick leaner and can hit the ground running 
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy 
  • Strong proficiency in excel 
  • Confidence working with figures 
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and independently 
  • Highly organized individual with proven ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines  
  • Willingness to be flexible according to current demands of the team and organisation
