1. Why is this merger taking place?

OANDA and Currensee believe that bringing together two different but complementary forex services, from companies that share a similar business vision and values, will result in a unique offering within the forex industry. OANDA has established itself as a leading provider of forex services while Currensee helped pioneer copy trading.

Copy trading, a method by which traders can mirror the trading behavior of experienced forex investors from around the world, has realized tremendous growth in recent years. In addition, copy trading makes it possible for individual traders to share research data and collaborate with other traders.

OANDA and Currensee believe that together, the integration of the two leading technology platforms from OANDA and Currensee will result in one entity that has the ability to serve the needs of a greater number of forex traders.

2. Will this impact how I interact with OANDA?

The merger of OANDA and Currensee will have no immediate impact on OANDA customers.

3. When will Currensee functionality be available to OANDA customers?

The integration process is currently underway. You can expect an update by mid-October on the timing of the availability of Currensee products to OANDA customers. We have established dedicated teams to focus on the integration efforts and to ensure there is minimal disruption to customers during the integration process.

FAQ for Currensee Clients

1. Will I need to move my trading account?

No. Currensee has established strong partnerships with the listed brokers and there is no need at this time to move trading accounts.

2. Will my fees change?

Currensee clients will continue to be charged the same service and success fees for participation in the Trade Leader Investment Program.

3. Will the Trade Leaders change?

Currensee will continue to support Trade Leaders on a variety of brokers. The Currensee-OANDA merger will have no impact on the Trade Leaders being offered at this time. We do expect that upon the completion of an integration update, OANDA traders will eventually be added to the selection of Trade Leaders.

4. Who do I contact if I have questions about my account?

Currensee is still Currensee. We’re still here to support the Trade Leader Investment Program and to support you as our client.

5. Why is this merger happening?

Both Currensee and OANDA identify and understand the value that each company can bring to their clients through a long-term partnership in the form of this merger. Currensee will have the ability to leverage the OANDA brand, expertise, and commitment to clients; OANDA will, in time, have the opportunity to offer award-winning copy trading for clients on their platform. Together these two parts will be stronger as a whole.

6. Can I now participate using my OANDA account?

Not quite yet. We will work with OANDA to integrate their systems to participate in the Trade Leader Investment Program, and will be sure to tell our clients when this work is complete. 

FAQ for Currensee Partners

1. How will this merger affect current broker relationships with Currensee?

Currensee has built our business on the importance of strong partnerships with our brokers and until further notice, we intend to maintain all current broker relationships.

2. Will current IB relationships be affected by this merger?

Current introducing broker contracts will stay in place. IB’s will continue to be paid for qualifying accounts and activities.

3. Will the Trade Leaders change?

Currensee will continue to support Trade Leaders on a variety of brokers. The Currensee-OANDA merger will have no impact on the Trade Leaders being offered at this time. We do expect that upon the completion of an integration update, OANDA traders will eventually be added to the selection of Trade Leaders.
